Robert Fleishman, MA, CCC-SLP

Bob received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Penn State University, a Master of Arts in  Audiology from Columbia University, Advanced Graduate Study in Counseling and School Psychology at Boston University, and a Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University.  Helping individuals and families has always been of primary importance to Bob, and he has extensive experience in different roles.

Bob completed over 17 years as a speech and language pathologist in Alamance-Burlington and Chatham County elementary schools, which included pre-kindergarten, classes for autistic children, and classes for children with severe medical issues.  He served children as a counselor with the Chapel Hill - Carrboro schools and was a counselor with the Lancaster Pennsylvania schools for 5 years.

 

Bob's experience with numerous diagnostic areas include:

  • Delayed Receptive/Expressive Language
  • Stuttering
  • Autism
  • Hearing Impairment
  • Phonologic Delays
  • Articulation Impairment
  • Apraxia
  • Motor Speech Disorders
  • Aphasia. 

 

Additional areas of experience include deficiencies in social awareness, insufficient pragmatic skills, and diminished cognitive and executive functions.


Bob is focused on providing in home therapy services for young children and working closely with families. He understands we are all people working together to improve our lives.


Bob moved to North Carolina in 1977 and married Linda, a Carolina girl, in 1978. Bob and Linda live together in Chatham County.
