Liz Thompson, MSW, ITFS

Liz graduated from The University of Connecticut with a Masters Degree in Social Work.  She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Relations.  In addition, Liz holds the North Carolina Infant-Toddler Family Specialist Certification. She has a 20+ year history of working with children and families in classroom and residential settings. 

Throughout her career, Liz has been an innovative advocate for early intervention services.  She believes that therapy in the natural environment produces optimal therapeutic outcomes, and she enjoys working with families on creative ways to integrate therapy techniques at home. 

Prior to joining team KidSprout, Liz spent 4 years as an Early Head Start Teacher, which gives her the unique perspective of assisting in transition planning for school-aged children. 

Liz prides herself on fostering safe and healthy learning environments by engaging families through regular communication and collaborative goal setting.  She is dedicated to promoting a child’s growth across a variety of dimensions, including gross and fine motor, cognitive, and socioemotional development. 

A resident of Orange County, Liz enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering for The Big Brother/Big Sister and UNC Hospice Programs
