Jeanne Cornejo, PT, MPT

Jeanne Cornejo has been a physical therapist for almost 30 years. After receiving her Master’s  Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University, she began her career at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, where she specialized in pediatric and rehabilitative therapy.

While there, Jeanne saw infants in the NICU, and pediatric patients in both the acute and  outpatient settings. She was also the physical therapist for the interdisciplinary team of specialists at Laurie Neurodevelopmental Center, where she was responsible for evaluating and treating children 0-3 years old.

Jeanne brings a strong professional background to the children and families she serves. She has great empathy for parents raising children with challenges, and she has a strong commitment to help families overcome the obstacles they face.

Jeanne has worked with children with:

  • Seizure Disorder
  • Autism
  • Head Trauma
  • Developmental Delay
  • Down ’s syndrome
  • Spina Bifida

Jeanne moved to North Carolina in 1988 and continued to work part-time, while she raised and home schooled her own family of five children, one of whom was born with physical challenges.

With her youngest child now in college, Jeanne and her husband are enjoying being able to resume some of their old pre-parenthood hobbies and explore new ones together – they recently completed their first triathlon
