Dawn Thornhill, M. Ed, ITFS
Dawn graduated from The State University of New York at Potsdam in 2000 with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching. She also secured her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology in 1995. Dawn is a certified Infant-Toddler Family Specialist in North Carolina and is pleased to bring her expertise in the field of Early Intervention to the Greensboro area.

During her 15-year teaching career, Dawn’s primary focus was ensuring that each child was awarded an exceptional learning experience in the classroom. Dawn values the skills that each child has to offer, and she regularly built her lessons around ensuring that all the children in her classroom were engaged and encouraged.

Parent involvement is a high priority for Dawn. She feels strongly that children thrive the most when parents play ac.ve roles in their growth and development, and she enjoys working with families to create fun and positive learning opportunities. During her therapy sessions, Dawn thoughtfully listens to parent concerns, and she ensures that the priorities of a family are first and foremost in her plans of care.

Dawn has spent the majority of her life involved with children of all ages and abilities.  She has enjoyed mentoring as a summer camp director, as well as local ice hockey, soccer, and karate leagues.

A resident of Guilford County, Dawn is a loving mother and advocate for 2 special needs boys and enjoys staying engaged with her local community.
